Should websites be able to publish your personal information like address and phone number?

There are several "people search" websites out there that let you look up people's personal information. They gather information from public records and third party resources. Some give out the information for free while others charge a fee to get the details. Do you think websites should be able to do this?

Some websites will take your information down if you request it, but others will not or they will charge you to take it off their site! What do you think about this?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
