Should The United States decrease the national debt by asking China to forgive some of our national debt?

M$We need to stop passing out money we do not have to help countries who are not in debt. Let them borrow the money themselves.

Wow, I completely disagree with your comment, mekas. What about China having a hold on our economy puts us in any position to ask them anything? At this point, China could say "nuke Mexico or we pull out and take OUR stuff with use", not that it's a realistic scenario, but the point stands. God, I really hope you were being sarcastic, and I apologize for my tone if you weren't, but you do realize that China was FORCED to open up some ports to us, right? China didn't/doesn't want anything to do with the outside world, but with 2 billion people to support, there is no other realistic way to support themselves without their piece of the global economy. Us bombarding Hong Kong with McDonald's and setting up factories that barely and rarely pay a living wage isn't exactly charity, and I don't think they really appreciate it as much as you think they should. "Your welcome for puking in your house, dude, and hey, pizza's on you!" Yeah, that'd go over great.
i get your point, dudemanguy, and i think it's very valid.
but since China is already pretty much hugging up all our economy (buying our companies, sports team etc.) maybe we are in a good position to ask for this favor if we have to, they already owe us so much for all the globalization and americanization of China, and we still do this even though China is still very communist (against our democratic beliefs)
