Should the UN hire Swiss mercenaries to deal with Gadhafi?
For centuries Swiss mercenary troops were the mainstay of many European armies. Now only the Papal States hires them. But the UN could probably hire the whole Swiss army to go and fight Gadafi's loyalist brigades of thugs for a couple of francs (and the Swiss would probably be glad to loan the francs). The two countries would probably be at war if Switzerland were not up in the mountains in the middle of Europe and Libya in North Africa. If the US provided transport they could get there.
