Should the matchmaking system take into account where a player is located so that matches will be limited to players within your region?
Currently, the way matchmaking works in LoL is that you can be matched up with players around the world who'll have latencies of 300ms and higher whereas perhaps you are on the west coast such as myself and only have 30ms. You have to sit at the loading screen and wait for these people to load up. One solution is to restrict it by region like WoW does with its realms. The regions would presumably be North America, Europe, and Asia. Is this a viable solution? Is this even a problem?

Hi artur
Riot are now working on installing a new server for the europe community so i if you live in europe, you will play with other people of the server cause people on the europe server cannot play on the old server. So it's a bit like you said, it will help for playing with lower ping i guess.
Hope i help you :)
