Should people date on twitter?

I met my boyfriend (of going on two years) on Twitter, but neither of us was using Twitter specifically to find dates. Rather, we both made lots of new friends via Twitter, and just so happened to hit it off. I would suggest using Twitter to meet people in your area, and maybe something more will come of it. Tweethearts.com is another Twitter dating site I've heard of, though.

Personally, I don't think Twitter sounds like the best platform to "date" somebody on considering the other platforms available. It might be a good place to meet somebody but consider your other followers having to see you attempting to woo the ladies, and 140 characters isn't the ideal way to have a conversation with somebody your dating....I suggest meeting people and then taking your "dates" to other more convenient platforms.
