Should MLB punish Josh Hamilton for racy photos?

So if you remember, Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers has a bit of a history with drug and alcohol addiction and was suspended in 2002. He has since got married, had some kids and cleaned up his act...

Now he is seen in photos, apparently from January, drinking and having a lot of fun with some women and whipped cream in an Arizona bar.

With his history of addiction, should he face any discipline from the league?

Why should Josh Hamilton face any discipline? Did he break any rules of MLB. Did he break any laws? No he didn't. Did he do something he probably shouldn't have with his history? Yes. However, last time I checked poor judgment isn't a reason to discipline someone. UNLESS there is a clause in his contract with the Rangers regarding his sobriety, no one should even think about discipline in a sport where beer is served in clubhouses and manager (yeah you Tony Larussa) who get pulled over and ticketed for driving under the influence are spared any kind of discipline (even though they BROKE THE LAW).

Josh Hamilton made a mistake, he didn't break any rules or laws except his committment to his sobriety, which he regrets. You who aren't perfect, you can ask others to be perfect, but until then, I wish people would stop being so uptight and expecting atheltes to be 'better' people than any other person. It's silly. Stop idolizing people who aren't worthy of idolization and stop expecting them to be better people just because they get played money to make a sport.

I dont think MLB should punish him but his wife and kids should., but if we think about it we will notice that the people would start making rumors about him and that will affect the team and a lot of other things too.

I don't think he should be punished. Maybe he should remember that even though his personal life should be his business, being a professional athlete, he is in the public eye and anything he does will be more publicly scrutinized than the "average Joe". Might not be fair, but it comes with the territory of being a celebrity.

I think what he does on his own time is his own business. Weather he cheats on his wife, gets drunk, and acts like a clown in public or whatever. The MLB should give him a warning, and if something like this happens multiple times than fine him. His public image affects MLB and the Texas Rangers.

MLB should not and will not punish Josh Hamilton for his photos. Bud Selig is not the kind of commissioner that suspends or fines players for off the field encounters that are not directly related to the game of baseball. If this was the NFL and Roger Goodell then there would be a indefinite suspension and a requirement for him to show remorse, but because of the way the Commissioner's office works in the MLB Josh Hamilton will not need to worry about punishment from them.
However he will likely lose chances at endorsement deals and it may be harder for him to get a long term contract considering his lapse in judgement and his previous history of drug and alcohol abuse.
