Should "Instant Replay" and allowing managers to challenge calls be allowed in the MLB?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This is a very serious, very critical game.
A call could determine a game.
Look at the olympics this past year in beijing.
Two times I can recall instant replays that were needed to make sure who was the deciding winner.
The gold medal race with Michael Phelps and the French team.
The french though he won because the judges made and eye call, but the video showed the true winner.
and the fencing team where it was the last round with Keith Smart versus POZDNYAKOV Stanislav. A judge made an out of bounds call and Keith stopped but Stanislav didn't see it the call and continued the hit and thought he won. Keith told them the judge put his hand up as a call and they replayed the footage and he was out of bounds so the winning hit Stanislav thought he had didn't count. Keith went on and won the silver medal for the USA.
Instant replays are there for the limited ability that our human capabilities are bounded by.
Not to mention not every judge is neutral.
As neutral as they have to be some judges can be very sided.
Challenging calls and instant replays keep umpires, rule keepers, and judges inline.
