Should I try my 24 Hour Fitness Free Pass? Worth it?

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Go for it! I have one about ten to fifteen miles from my home, and I've peeked through the windows a few times. I've also talked to other people who have used the facility before, and they say it's great. I think it would be a good place to try out for a few reasons:

First of all, it's a free gym pass! Who can argue with using an exercise facility for free?

Second, it's open 24 hours a day. Other gyms have set hours to when you can use the gym. Personally, being a member of the YMCA gym, there have been times where I've wanted to exercise in a gym, but it wasn't open during the hours I wanted to work out. But if it were a 24 hour gym, I could work out whenever. Because frankly, most gyms aren't open at 3 am!*

So I don't think you have anything to lose, and it would probably be a good thing to try out. And who knows? Perhaps you might find it to be an enjoyable place to exercise.

*I have never been or wanted to go to a gym at 3 am. ;)

Give it a shot. I love the 24 Hour Fitness near my apartment. I don't ever use the weight machines, but the cardio kick boxing, salsa groove, and hip hop classes are rad. and Go early. Kick boxing fills up and it gets a little scary with too many people.

Definitely try it! Consider it a one week free trial and if you like it, get yourself a discounted membership, and if you don't, no harm done! The salesperson will probably sit down with you for a few minutes to put you in the system, then give you a brief tour. But that's all they do, and you'll be working out in no time!

Sure if you are willing to spend hours trying to avoid the really hard sell sales person!
If is a good deal to try for free but stand your ground if wish to decline future offers! Just say No!

you have to use it when their are sales people present, I would use but keep your distance, some of their clubs are nice and some are not so nice, really it depends on the age of the club, if you live near a 24 hour fitness and a LA fitness I would check them both out, I been in both and LA fitness does a better job with maintenance and replacing equipment.

Free passes are great for the obvious reasons: the club gets a chance to attract prospective members into the facility, and prospective members get to test out the experience.

But you can also test out the location, convenience is a huge factor in your likelihood of returning. Also make note of cleanliness, waiting-time's for machines, friendliness of staff, etc. during your free visits to make sure you will be fully satisfied with your decision to join.
