Should I go for the HTC Desire HD or HD7 ?

Both of these phones are dropping for the market in a couple of days (expected) and both these devices look great when viewed from different aspects and got their pros and cons. For example, the 8MP of Desire HD vs the 5MP on the other hand, I like the design of Windows Phone 7.
I have gone through several comparisons of specs and also read some opinions. But none of them specified a particular handset.
Please mention which one you would for after, and explain the reason for the choice.
Note : I don't need a specs comparison. Also I am in Sri Lanka, so I don't need the deals from the mobile careers.
I just need to know what phone you would choose and your opinions about both.
Thanks.

M$P.S. Windows 7 has a quite good chance to become popular mobile OS in the next decade...

I know that there are more Android applications available at this time, but since there have been more than 1/2 million downloads of the win 7 software recently, developers will soon come out with more options that can provide some applications equivalent features related to the Android applications that may be more popular and appealing to windows users. One of the problems I see with the Android is that you are tied to your Google account for your contacts, while the win 7 allows a "stream-of-contacts system" across multiple accounts that you may have.
Thanks for answering.
What do you think about the Applications on both Android and Windows 7 ? There is a huge difference between the applications. But what about the quality of the applications?
