Should Chris Brown be eligible for a Kids' Choice Award?

He was nominated before the incident with Rihanna at the Grammy Awards. Should they pull him from contention or leave him in there?
Tip for best answer: M$2.00

No, I don't think he should be eligible. Even thought the award is based on his work as a performer, what he did was inexcusable. And even though he hasn't been convicted yet, there's no doubt that he was the person who beat the crap out of Rihanna. It's just like when an athlete is found doing drugs, and loses his endorsements or is even banned from playing. He should not be eligible - in fact, he should pull himself out the running.

Of course he should be eligible!
If you take away every person who did something bad away from that show (Rihanna included!), there wouldn't be anyone left!

That said, I doubt he will win.

While he has not been convicted of any crime or held responsible in any sort of civil matter, I'd say the media (and general public) has already passed judgment, and he'll be dodging the label of "abuser" and "misogynist" for the rest of his public life.

Without having met the man or knowing his artistic works, I'd say that would be enough for them to ask that he withdraw from the KCA, seeing as it would be hard to glorify him as a role model with his alleged reputation.

Should they ask for Rihanna to withdraw too? How can they glorify her as a role model for going back (and possibly MARRYING) him!??!

To be fair, this question was not about Rihanna (or Jack Black).

As a parent, I'd not want my child emulating either of their behaviors or values. I'll also allow that my standards for ethical behavior are probably a bit higher than most of my fellow Americans.

Adult relationships are difficult enough for grown-ups. I doubt any child would be able to fully grasp the complexity of this particular couple with any kind of emotional or intellectual clarity.

Sure, he should be eligible for the Kid's Choice Awards. Let him show his face and get Booed off stage by the audience. Maybe it will get our point across to him that beating your woman is not respected here. It would serve him right to suffer some embarrassment and shame for what he did. That is how they used to do it in the old days.

Chris "the coward" Brown should not be eligible for the award. If Chris "the coward" Brown had been charged with cruelty to animals - remember Michael Vick, "Dickelodeon" would have removed his name. A sports commentator(Paul Zeise) said that Michael Vick would be better off raping a woman, "Dickelodeon" is proving him right. Chris "the coward" Brown didn't rape Rihanna(The stunning princess from my country of Barbados), but he did assault her & by not taking action, "Dickelodeon" is saying women are lower than and less significant than dogs.
