Should cakes with boiled frosting be stored in the refrigerator?

The boiled frosting or seven minute frosting, as some call it made with egg whites--should cakes with this type of frosting be stored in the refrigerator?

According to Recipetips.com: Once the boiled frosting has been spread on the cake, it can be stored at room temperature, but refrigerating it will help keep the frosting soft and fluffy longer.
Cover the cake with a domed cake server or a large container that is deep and wide enough to not disturb the frosting when placed over the cake.

Hope that helps. I have to admit that your question and its research made me want to have some cake!
