Should Brett Favre be "disciplined" for his allegedly sent graphic photos and text messages to Jenn Sterger?

ESPN quotes an anonymous source as saying that Brett Favre "is not expected to be suspended" but "will be disciplined" by the NFL in the Jenn Sterger case. Sterger, a former New York Jets sideline reporter, claims Favre sent her graphic photos and text messages while he was with the Jets in 2008. Do you think that Brett Favre should be "disciplined"?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I think he should be disciplined if Sterger felt that she was being harrassed or that his behaviour was in-appropriate. The problem with situations like this, is sometimes the female in these situations brings it on themselves, who is to say she wasn't leading him on etc or even asking for these photos herself. If it is proved that she didn't want anything in that way then yes he should be disciplined to send out the right message, that it is not ok to harrass women in this way.

Not to mention the fact that Favre has a wife, I feel sorry for her in all of this.

I agree with murb in that everyone has a right to not be harassed. She didn't want his attention, and he obviously gave it to her anyways. Certainly showing pictures of yourself is NOT against the law, unless the person receiving it doesn't want it. But who's to say at the time she didn't want it. I think he put himself into this compromising situation.

What does it matter anyways? He's going to retire. It's like trying to discipline someone who is quitting. There is no point to it.
