Should a business be given the freedom to pitch their products on Mahalo Answers?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The example is only giving an opinion not a pitch.

No, because Mahalo Answers is a answering committee and not an opportunity for businesses to advertise their products.

Unless Mahalo thinks of making Mahalo Business or similar, it should not be done in Mahalo Answers.

OK,

So Mahalo could allow this BUT the advertiser would have to pay Mahalo. If this happened, it would mean more money would be put into Mahalo to keep this website running. I am happy with this idea as I love Mahalo and would want it to keep running.

PS - this will enable more money to be put towards new features and for answer. Possible raising it from $1 to $1.50

To me this is a pitch, the question is coming directly from the source. then there is an answer yes. Then the return of you can buy one here...

To me that is a pitch. It would be different if it is was "common joe no.1" asking "common joe no.2" if they like a certain item.

I would say yes, but not in the form of a question. Mahalo Answers does ads by Google. If someone wants to pitch something, they should buy an ad.

I don't think it is a sales pitch as much as it is a attempt to get feed back. However, It could be seen as an attempt to get product visibility and that could be considered a form of advertisement.

I think they are splitting hairs and playing the game. They should buy and add however they should have the right to ask a question even if it is about their product and borderline unethical.

If you have problems with the add then click Report and tell mahalo why.
