Should a 11 year old babysitter be charged for the death of a two year old? Why or Why not?

Tip for best answer: M$1.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I do. Anyone who takes on responsibility of another and something happens, if they can prove negligence or malice should be brought up on the same weight charges as an adult. And with todays children being just as problematic as an adult, as we have seen in 9 and 10 year olds bludgeoning their clas mates and kindergarteners, we ahve to wonder what are our children capable of. And I am not su sure its justified in tehis case. But an internet search fo underage( reponsible age being 16 to baby it in general) shows lots and lots of 10, 11 and 12 years old baby sitters being brought up on charges. It's astounding.
First of all an 11-year-old should not be baby sitting. That is just irresponsible to begin with. Blunt force trauma is not from a fall and the extras may or may not actually be from the baby sitter….. but they could be.
You have to look at the situation and DCS will launch a preliminary investigation. Not only is the babysitter now under investigation so is the parent. Let this be a lesson for anyone who not an adult, to think before they baby sit.

I personally dont think an 11 year old should have been left to care for a child of any age. I think the parents should be the ones charged considering they are the ones who left their baby in the care of someone who is still a child themself.
