Should a 7 yr. old child who has seen all Raiders of the lost Ark movies and all the Star Wars movies watch Avatar?
She is eager to see it but I cannot gather enough info from the reviews to determine why it is rated PG14.

It's unfortunate that a 7 year old child cannot watch the movie Avatar, but the ratings say is PG-13, due to its battle scenes, warfare, sensuality and smoking scenes. Unlike the Raiders of the lost Ark movies and all the Star Wars movies, they were all rated Parental Guidance.

Plus, the 3D version is much more intense than any 2D movie, so definitely not suitable for a 7-year old..
