You might be able to find a military wool blanket - they are a little scratchy BUT it will keep you warm, it's water resistant, and it probably wouldn't be hard to find at a second hand shop near a military post!
I quickly googled "military wool blanket" and found a site selling used blankets here.
These blankets are super durable and designed for outdoors camping! I promise you will be warm w/ this!

What is the warmest, most cost efficient bed covering?
I am going winter camping, but I'm not in the market to buy any of the new -40 high-tech gear. What is the warmest "old fashioned" blanket, that I could find in a place like a consignment store?
