I think that might have been started as a possibility by someone who was smoking some Marijuana because the Adidas logo only slightly resembles a marijuana leaf and resembles a Canadian Maple leaf as much as a marijuana leaf. http://prospect.rsc.org/blogs/cw/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/marijuana-leaf.jpg

NO !! They do not even come close I don't think. Look at the edges of the marijuana leaf they are all zigzagged and the Adidas is completely straight edged.
