Does anyone know if you can buy QUIDS (quasi universal intergalactic denomination) anywhere yet?

There is no currency conversion right now based on Travelex site. http://www.travelex.co.uk/BAA/converter.asp

The last press release was in 2007 and updates in 2007 and state the professors were supposed to talk to the Bank of England about registering the QUID but no futher updates since then.
