But personally, I can't stand it. Their business practices are atrocious, their product quality is terrible, and they're just run-down. The prices aren't that much lower than other stores for what you get. Sometimes during sales, I can get things like produce cheaper at grocery stores or even co-ops - and it's ten times better, too.
And besides, both Wal-Marts are farther away than other grocery stores here. So I'd use more gas, which costs more money. I really can't think of a single compelling reason to go.

In the city I live now, we have uhmmm 3 I think Maybe 4 or 5 but 3 I know of for sure. They're all on the outskirts of the city; they weren't allowed much farther than city limits. One is a superstore with groceries, but it's waay outside of the city. I go to the others occasionally for things I need, but it's really not worth the trip just because they're cheaper. I usually go to Zellers because it's right across the street. If zellers had everything walmart did, I'd have no problems going there; but nowhere else here has the selection walmart does.
Sometimes we go at like 3 am (because one is 24hours) because it's something to do when we're up late and bored but we don't really make a point of going there otherwise except for a couple times a year we need things. And boxing day. Walmart on boxing day rocks.

Do you have a Walmart store in your area?
Does it have a grocery store inside? Do you like the prices there better than other chain stores? What do you think of Walmart?

We don't just have one Wal-Mart; we have two, on opposite sides of town. But personally, I can't stand it. Yes, we have a Walmart in our area with a grocery department. I love the store !! The prices for food are pretty reasonable, and I can never ever get out of the store without spending at least 100.00 ever time. I love their candles and their home supplies as well as some of their appearel. http://www.walmart.com/index.gsp?dest=40&sourceid=21958325543848339211

In my hometown, there is a walmart. It's a plain one, and has a very small grocery section but no produce, just like cereal and junk like that. My hometown was small and has like 8000 people so walmart is basically the only place to go for most things unless you wanted to shell out more than double the cash. There was a zellers too, but it's more expensive, doesn't have selection, and overall... uhh.. sucks. My dad works at an appliance place and I always try to get my things (like microwave, vacuum) from him at cost and he tells me just to go to walmart because it's cheaper there than what he gets it in for.
