It takes a professional jeweler with the right equipment to tell synthetic diamonds from natural ones, since they're chemically identical. The supply of natural diamonds is far greater than the supply of synthetics, and most gem-quality synthetic diamonds are "fancy colored" diamonds, which are generally more valuable than colorless diamonds.

Although the vast majority of diamonds are "clear," very few diamonds are truly colorless. Most show very faint traces of yellow or brown, and brightly colored diamonds are extremely rare.

Make sure the diamond is not colored. Most synthetic diamonds are colored, while nearly all natural diamonds are colorless.

This one is colorless (and synthetic).

If anyone go for red, pink or any colored diamonds then we can treat that diamond as unnatural. Right?
Like below yellow diamonds but it shows natural

Yes, that is the general rule of thumb. 99.9% of natural diamonds don't have a color. However, it is not a 100% accurate rule. There is an entire wikipedia page on diamond colors:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_color.
Quote:
Diamonds that go out of scale in the rating are known as "fancy color" diamonds. Any light shade of diamond other than light yellow or light brown automatically falls out of the scale.
Most synthetic diamonds fall in this category. Light yellow or light brown are colored, but not "fancy colored", and can therefore still be natural.
Confusing, huh?

best bet is to buy from a registered jeweler with good training, in the US it would be a person who is AGS or GIA or CGAL. Get a certificate, signed by a registered appraiser from one of these agencies.

Consider buying only certified diamonds. Go for only GIA, AGS, IGI or EGL certified diamonds. These are some of the reliable gemological labs. The diamond certificate clearly mentions the 4Cs of the diamond which ensures that the diamond is real. Get more information about certification of diamonds at: http://www.b2cjewels.com/Education/certificateguide.aspx
