However, the best sandwich with just two ingredients would have to be a bacon sandwich. 6 slices of bacon cooked to different levels of doneness from just barely done to cripsy on thin slices of extra sour sourdough bread is the best sandwich. As the bacon is getting done, instead of putting on another rack or paper towel to drain, put them on the bread to let the juices season the bread.

1 big loaf fresh bread(unsliced)
Cheese spread or chutney
asparagus , olives
Method
---------
Remove crust from all sides of the loaf. Cut into thin slices.
Apply soft butter generously.
Spread either cheese spread or chutney over some slices.
In some slices, put an asparagus pieces at the end of each slice. In others , put 3 to 4 oives in a row at the end of each slice.
Roll up the slices tightly, tying with thread if necessary .
Put the rolls in a plastic bag or in a box and chill in the freezer compartment of a refrigerator for 1 hour.
Remove and cut into slices.
Serve cold.
