because society is easing up on the way they view lesbians so guy girl girl stuff is ok but there is still a large group of men who shun gays and thus they are less likely to admit to being bisexual but it could be anything although according to the person below there is a larger percentage of gay males than females or generally if a male is gay they like only men so the number of bi males is low

It's less about how society treats views bisexuality than it is biological. A study done in 2005 showed that men are more likely to be either gay or straight but there are far fewer instances of bisexuality. This research was written up in the New York Times (http://bit.ly/1WEpjX).

All the subsequent research since then has shown that bisexuality is on the rise but only in women. Bisexuality is seen to increase in women when they are having and enjoying more sex. There have been write-ups of the recent data in the Globe & Mail (http://bit.ly/3KJEAS), and the Independent (http://bit.ly/4C7ED5).
