How can I cancel a US Postal Service temporary forwarding order ahead of time?

Using the Postal Service's website, I had created a temporary forwarding order to set my postal mail to forward to an alternate address until the end of May. However, I moved back in early.

How would I go about canceling the forward? Do I submit another forward, forwarding from my address to my own address? Forwarding from the other address to my own address (though other people not me still live there, and I don't want to suddenly start receiving THEIR mail)? Call the post office tomorrow?

You can go to your local post office and tell them you need to cancel forwarding. That's what I did in Colorado. Hope that helps.

Go to the USPS website and submit a temporary change of address form, with a forwarding end date.
