I'd first try Craigslist. Put it in the Wanted Section. Offer someone like $50 to remove it and haul it away- its going to take them 1-2 hours depending.
Here's the how to if you want to do it yourself:
You will need a sledgehammer and a shovel to two..
first the will dig around it, removing the dirt until they can see the concrete. Then they will hit it the concrete with the sledge causing it to break. Two people will pull the pole out. They may have to affix something to the pole so they can pull vertically. They will either remove the concrete chunks and refill with dirt or just fill with the concrete pieces in the hole.
I've also see it done with a off road style truck jack like in this link:

How do you remove a basketball hoop pole from the ground?
I have one of those driveway basketball hoops that is in the ground with cement. How do you remove these? Who can you call that would provide this service? Thanks.

Good idea about putting an ad in Craigslist. However if you offer just $50 for such a job you will get bad comments from others users and they will flag the ad. $125 is more like it. Also the Gigs-Labor section is more appropriate to post it.

Sure. $50 may be low, but I know there are hungry people out there who $50 is a lot of money. I get my yard cut for $40 every two weeks and it should be more like $75. I'd try $50 and go up from there.. Gigs labor is the proper section, sorry..

Great answers guys! I posted an ad in the gigs section on Craigslist and asked for price quotes. Within hours I had 21 responses from people who wanted the job. Price quotes ranged from $50 on up.
