You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
M$9 Answers
Do all points of view have equal weight?
He answers this without becoming opinionated himself, and uses Mahalo and Jason Calacanis as a good example!

M$Girlieq3000's answer
She gives a very in-depth answer with a number of facts and figures behind her answer and using what facts the user who asked the question gave.
This answer alone is a great reason why @girlieq3000 is a Brown Belt and moving up in the Mahalo world.

M$What was the Renaissance style of art? What were the Mannerist elements?
She gives a fantastic description answering the complete question and goes above and beyond by inlinking the Mahalo site in the appropriate areas throughout her answer and finishing with a great video making this answer certainly qualified for Answer of the Day.
Art well presented @bunnyphuphu Great job.

M$Ah, Bacchus the Roman God of wine and inebriation! (AKA Dionysius in Greek mythology). I missed this question. Thanks for pointing this out, Budawiggi! I'm going to this thread later today to see what I missed. Thanks for the artwork. Lovely way to start my day...(viewing the painting, not drinking :)
Here is my answer to the follow up question How did the Renaissance express the power and energy of nature? and of course a second follow up on that question too!
*@davepmn keeps you on your toes!
I agree that the answer was excellent. I created two follow up questions, as a result of @bunnyphuphu answer. I believe, it is helpful, if the answer has inline links. I don't use inline links, as a criteria, for selection.
Buddawiggi's Answer
@buddawiggi clearly provides some creative, insightful, great ideas to this offbeat question. @omicron also managed to provide some some ideas to @buddawiggi 's answer.
Great Job @buddawiggi !

M$for the answer to @buddawiggi 's question
Are there any good reasons for the United States to invade Canada? If so what are they?
Excellent tongue-in-cheek answer, detailing all the best "reasons" for an invasion.

M$I haven't been online as much the last couple of days so i missed this question and answer.
I'm going to click on the Permalink now...but I hope among @albanian's tongue and cheek answer are my two reasons for invading Canada... so we can have:
(1) Universal healthcare for all
(2) Marriage for all
Oh, maybe that's not so tongue-in-cheek after all!
The answer is very creative and original. The answer provides interesting tips and insight to the question. I recommend everybody to read his answer.

M$@suzd688 goes in depth as to the reasons why it can be beneficial to not choose a best answer as soon as you think the question is answered. she actually said everything i had thought of saying, and put it in an easy to understand manner.
i think more questions should be left open longer just for the reasons she stated.
nice answer

M$Not sure if it's AOTD materiel, I mean no offense to @tchchra, but the answer was simply copied from Yahoo Answers, and the answer from Yahoo was unsourced.
I thought one of our more-or-less unwritten rules was not to quote or grab answers out of yahoo or wiki answers?

Yes, a very good answer. I'd also like to say that I thought this was a very good QUESTION!!!
Kudos to both Smartweb and Budawiggi...and a nod to Bunnyphuphu for recognizing this.
thanks! nominated two days in a row! a new personal record!
