SEO Question: what's best way to temporarily redirect a page (for 3-4 weeks) to a static copy without losing search rankings?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

A 301 redirect might be what you need.

Never mind. I got the answer from Twitter.

302 is a better choice for a temporary redirect.

Other choices could be a Javascript redirect or .htaccess url rewrite.
