There are a variety of sites online these days that offer free services. Sometimes they make money simply from the traffic the site receives, by having google adsense ads, or other affiliate programs on the pages you might visit. Similar to how Mahalo earns money, and share's with it's users who manage pages here.
I would think that a free TV though, might be too good to be true. I've never been a fan of signing up for things like that, because if they sound too good to be true, they probably are. And, I'd prefer to not share my personal information with such give-aways, because I'm afraid they will just sell it to someone else.
Be careful with what you find online. There's nothing wrong with offering a free service on a website, but be sure you're getting what you want before you sign up for something.
