Kaspersky is definitely at the top along with Eset. The other commonly known players "norton, mcafee, symantec" are just average and typically consume more OS resources while running. AVG free is definitely a must if you don't want to spend any money.

The free version doesn't include rootkit checks and spamfilter, so if you want that, you should check out the full version.

AVG Free is my anti-virus scanner of choice. It is free, light (also in used resources), gets updated often, and always performs extremely well in tests, and is highly competitive, even against commercial products. I used to have Norton Antivirus, but I was relieved as soon as I switched over to AVG. My PC became instantly quicker. The free version doesn't include rootkit checks and spamfilter, so if you want that, you should check out the full version.

You will notice that @hellcaretaker included this statement in their question, "justify ur answer ". You have 1 hour, from the time you first post, where you can add to your answer so you may want to do so to include why you think Kaspersky is a good antivirus and the best choice of all the options available. :)

Anti-virus s*cks. Its better having virus in your PC than letting Anti-virus freeze your PC & stopping your works in the name of security.
