After Courtney Upshaw's arrest, will he play football this season?

Alabama Cimson Tide football player Courtney Upshaw was arrested early this morning in what seems to be a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. According to the girl's dad, Upshaw likely did not instigate this and should be cleared.

Now, we all know Nick Saban does not like distractions. Will this affect Upshaw's playing status this season?

According to sources close to the University of Alabama football program, Upshaw will not be suspended from any games. I am sure Saban's punishment will not be pleasant.

• I can only hope you are right. The Tide will need all the help they can get this season. According to my sources close to the University of Alabama, Saban has said to have lost focus as he was spotted watching war movies around town over the weekend...

If he doesn't get suspsended, it probably wont affect his playing time.

'Saban went on to say the Eufaula native would not be suspended, “but he’s going to be on behavioral probation.”'

This is from The Crimson White, the student paper of the University of Alabama (which I also happen to work for).

If Saban isn't suspending him from the games, it likely wasn't a VERY bad infraction.
