For science magazines that have great information but are fairly easy to read try these three - I use the articles all the time for students
- New Scientist - covers all types of science stuff
http://www.newscientist.com/
- Nature - bit harder to read but very interesting
http://www.nature.com/
- Popular Science - amazing research articles and new inventions
http://www.popsci.com.au/
As an English tutor I can also offer you some advice. Read the newspaper each day. There are two main types of newspaper - tabloid and broadsheet. Broadsheet newspapers use more complicated language, use different English expressions and generally have higher quality articles. For example the New York Times is a broadsheet, the Daily Mail is a tabloid :) Other ones that you might be interested in are The Australian and UK Times.
They still have entertainment sections etc but usually a better grade of reading for you.
Hope these help

I also recommend the Discover magazine for science. It is a well-written and informative magazine that covers many aspects of science and also has beautiful images. To be honest, some of the more technical articles go right over my head and English is my native tongue, but if you're interested in science I know you will love this magazine.

I'm suggesting these as a place to start because the language tends to be less complex. Not childish, just using more common words. From there graduate to magazines with topics that interest you.
I work with a gentleman who watches Spanish television programs to help him learn the language. You also want to talk to English speaking people as much as possible.
Good luck!

Also you may want to check out National Geographic. Interesting, world reknowned and the photos are amazing. I look forward to my copy every month and read it cover to cover. Many times, twice!
Best wishes!

I find the articles edgy, informative and topical. Also they can be very technical so it would be good practice for a technophile like yourself.

Alternatively, you can try great English Comic Books. Some of the best are
"TinTin", "Asterix", "Archies" etc. They will greatly improve your English speaking skills. I myself have benefited a lot from them.
Watching English movies or TV Programs also help a lot. Especially, try to watch Chinese Films (Bruce Lee's movies are the best) dubbed in English. They have easy English and accent.
You can also try English Dailies (News Papers). They are great.
All the best. Cheers

For an almost 15 year old that has English as a second (or perhaps third or fourth?) language you are doing phenomenally!

I am suggested to read at least a english magazine to improve my english skill. Any suggestion which one can be most interesting?
Must need a combination between entertainment and news. I also a huge fan of science journals. If it a quality science journal then no need entertainment.

I would recommend the Reader's Digest. The articles cover a wide variety of interesting topics and current events. It also has short, humorous anecdotes, quotations, and a word quiz (which will help increase your English vocabulary). I also recommend the Discover magazine for science. It is a well-written and informative magazine that covers many aspects of science and also has beautiful images. To be honest, some of the more technical articles go right over my head and English is my native tongue, but if you're interested in science I know you will love this magazine.

I agree to readers digest. Read from cover to cover. Also check the website for readers digest. Many of the articles are there. you can also try different country versions, like readerdigest.ca, readerdigest.au etc.

Personally, try reading some of the kids magazines. Not the celebrity ones aimed at teens, but the educational ones. Also there are several very well done story magazines such as Stone Soup and Cricket which would be worth looking at. I'm suggesting these as a place to start because the language tends to be less complex. Not childish, just using more common words. From there graduate to magazines with topics that interest you.

Well, you seem like a young hip guy - Try Maxim! Lot's of great stuff in there, ladies (non-naked), gadgets, articles, food, fitness, current affairs, music, games -all kinds of things. Also you may want to check out National Geographic. Interesting, world reknowned and the photos are amazing. I look forward to my copy every month and read it cover to cover. Many times, twice!

If you find science journals interesting, you should go for them. Because it is your interest that will drive you. Alternatively, you can try great English Comic Books. Some of the best are

Since I don't have any additional suggestions for reading material perhaps I shouldn't be answering this question, but... For an almost 15 year old that has English as a second (or perhaps third or fourth?) language you are doing phenomenally!

You may enjoy People Magazine for the entertainment aspects and it covers news as well. Not much if any science though. My girlfriend has some health problems so I spend lots of time in waiting rooms. People is the first magazine that I pick up while waiting.
