2. To clear concepts to all the students ( focus on students who are slow learners

3. To encourage curiosity and questions on subject.

4. To encourage creativity

5. Make her/his periods a session of fun and knowledge

A teacher has many roles.

Obviously, the most important role is to educate. Sometimes to connect with a student they must also provide guidance, mentoring, coaching, encouraging and counseling. It is not an easy task to maintain the focus of a child when your faced with so many young minds who are easily distracted. It helps if a teacher is entertaining, interesting and funny.

A teacher should always keep in mind that the needs of the many out way the needs of the few. If there is a trouble maker in the class they should be dealt with in a way that does not take a teachers focus and attention away from the majority of students. A teacher must be a disciplinarian, a lie detector, negotiator and resolved ... yet understanding that they are "just kids."

I think it really depends on the age group your dealing with also.
