A galaxy is a collection of stars and a nebula is a cloud of dust, gas and plasma that is the first stage in the formation of a star.

A galaxy is a collection of millions of stars . Before we had good telescopes, the small, fuzzy patches of light we could see in the night sky were called nebulae.
