Huron indian head to ward off the evil spirits.

In Iroquois and Huron mythology Ioskeha was the Creator Deity who made the first man and woman and specialized in demon-bashing, healing diseases, herbing tobacco, exercising magic and other rituals.

He fought with his twin brother Tawiskara, grandson of Ataentsic, for the control of the world. With every confrontation, each brother took the nearest weapon they could find to win the battle.

In the final epic battle, Tawiskara fought with a rose-twig, but were no match for the stag antlers Ioskeha used. Ioskeha won and drived the battered Tawiskara into exile, while weeping tears of flint.

Ioskeha celebrated his victory and the power he gained over the world by creating the Huron people.
