Yeah, if it's lucky enough to all glom into the same ball of iron, but earth's iron didn't come from nova of (a) solar mass star(s)... it came from (a) supernova(s).
We know that because earth has elements heavier than iron, and elements heavier than iron only come from supernovas.

Is there enough iron in the Milky Way produced by 8-11 Stellar Mass stars for an iron core earth?
Is iron concentrated enough and in large enough portions in the stellar material to form an iron core center for the earth?

If so, that's *very* interesting. Theoretically it means you could have a huge cloud of gas containing elements heavier than helium that's just sitting there, then a star blows through condensing the stuff into planets - with core - behind it, and then another star yet again could pass by and pick it up?
