Is the sun unique in its stellar size and age compared with other stars in the Milky Way?

If 78% of the stars in the Milky Way are Red Dwarfs, does this make the sun unique in its characteristics?

More back of the napkin for ya:

- let's say there are 100,000,000,000 stars in the galaxy
- according to your percent, there are 78,000,000,000 red dwarves
- that means there are 22,000,000,000 other kinds of stars
- 22 billion is a lot of stars
- unique = 1

These numbers are ballpark, back of the napkin. I've seen estimates of 200-400 billion stars, 90% dwarf (red or otherwise). Even if only 1% are sol-type, this would still be a couple of billion stars like our own.

Nope, it's pretty ordinary. It may not be the most common, but it's still ordinary enough, which is lucky for us, because boring ol' ordinary stars make the best lamps for life-planets.

It's like asking, is the existence of a caucasian "unique"? If 3/4 of the people on earth are red (or black or yellow or brown or green or whatever's not white), does that make the existence of a particular caucasian "unique"? (I know that every caucasian wants to think so, but seriously...)
