The United States has the capability to intercept a "few" ICBMs such as this after they are launched (See GBI or THAAD). That would be our only real defense. If we were actively at war with Russia we would probably try to take these out but past experience has shown it is very difficult to destroy mobile missile launchers such as this. And ultimately it would be useless to try and specifically target these so long as Russia maintains other forms of nuclear deterrence via its submarine fleet or its other fixed silo missiles.
Our real defense of course is good or at least decent relations with Russia and ultimately our own nuclear deterrence force. MAD does work as a defense and a good thing too.
