The mass of the inner core is about one hundred million million million tons -- which is about 30 per cent greater than the mass of the moon.

Convert that number to scientific exponential notation.

I calculate that a 8 stellar star could produce 1.3352x10^25 tons of iron.

How close is this number too the earth iron core?

1x10^20 tons. The earths core could have been reasonable formed from iron in a 8-10 stellar star in the Milky Way.
