No, not that far. I live in Texas and I have never seen a hurricane reach San Antonio, which is pretty close to the coastline relatively speaking. The rain bands will reach that far, but by then the winds are so died down it has the strength of only a moderate storm. A hurricane gains speed due to the lack of friction as it blows across the open water and from the evaporation of the ocean water to add to it's mass. Once the hurricane reaches land, it slows down very quickly due to all the trees, buildings, hills, etc., that all cause friction against it's forces. A hurricane will not actually form over land due to this reason.
