There are many ways to determine volume (cubic measure). If you have a regular shape, you can measure the dimensions and use whatever formula is appropriate for that shape. If the object is a composite of regular shapes, you can break the problem down into a sum of the volumes of the parts. If the object is irregular, solid, and not too big, you can immerse it in a liquid and measure the displacement of the liquid (using some kind of graduated liquid measuring tool.

What, specifically, do you want to measure?
