Yes, penguins migrate. They migrate usually before and during the mating and breeding season. They usually migrate for as long as it takes their instincts to tell them. On average they migrate 1,125 miles per journey.

Yes, most species of penguin do migrate. The Adelie penguin has been tracked by satellite migrating over 5,500 km or 3,400 miles.

According to seaworld.org, they don't usually migrate long distances.
