Try updating to the latest version (Safari 4). Some users still occasionally experience sluggishness or crashing. This can often by resolved simply by resetting all of Safari (note this will wipe all of you Safari cached data).
1. Open Safari
2. Click "Safari" from the menu bar.
3. Click "Reset Safari...".
4. Finally, click "Reset" to confirm.
