Having enjoyed enormous success during the late 80s and on into the 90s, Roxette went on hiatus in 2002. The band members were involved in a variety of projects between 2002 and 2008. However, in 2009 they announced a re-union.
In October 2009, they kicked off a small European tour, and that same month, a Swedish newspaper reported that the band had begun to record new material. this remains unreleased as yet, but the band have announced concerts in Sweden, Russia, Denmark and Norway for August and September of this year, with more dates set to be added.
