Role Playing Games can be very addicting and immersive and can be a great alternative to the traditional shoot-em-up and first person shooter type games that are all the rage these days.

When I was younger, I had no problem getting involved in these types of games and spending hours trying to figure out puzzles, develop characters and complete story lines. These days, however, I feel that my attention span for video games has gone down tremendously and I find it hard to get involved in RPG's due to the long time it takes to get a feel for the game and start actually participating.
