I'm not the biggest Beatles fan out there, but I always like to hear different takes, especially of well known songs - gives one an idea as to how the song was taking shape.

This one is sure a good jam, I enjoyed listening to it. Quite different from electrified version we all know, it's almost a camp-fire kind of tune, complete with slight touches of psychedelia. Delicious!

I think EMI should figure out how to release this, and other Beatles treasures such as the movies on DVD, before the demand dwindles and the band is all but forgotten. Look whats happened to Elvis- not my preference *(see pulp fiction, jack rabbit slim's scene)* but didn't deserve to become the timelife infomertial of the month.

The Beatles basically are the be all and end all, and EMI better realize this, or all this stuff will slowly leak out, get torrented and distributed and we'll all have to enjoy the pinnacle of british rock culture for nothing! Next: Pink Floyd treasures!

Unfortunately, it's not up to EMI. Apple Corps Ltd., the company the band started in 1968, controls the rights to everything Beatles.

Also, for anything to be released, it must be agreed upon by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Olivia Harrison (George's widow) and Yoko Ono. As in the days of the band, if one of them is against an idea, that's the end of it. All four must agree.

I liked it (thanks for sharing). Through most of the song I was thinking "It's the Beatles - Unplugged!" That last part with all the strange sound clips, reminded me of the stuff that facilitated the 'Paul is dead' rumors. Very cool!

There is a reason why this has not been released earlier, and that is because this track is not very good. We will not be hearing this track on any radio station. The "old" Revolution is much better.

It is definitely of interest to Beatles fans, but not to fans of music in general.

1) First all, way to go using the little-used 'audio embed' feature of Mahalo Answers. Nicely done.

2) Anything by the Beatles is interesting. They cooked up the template for pretty much all rock bands that followed. They were the archetype, the blueprint, for a who new genre.

3) This version is very psychedelic. Sort of a Walrus-ized version of 'Revolution'. Not really a single, wouldn't work on the radio. But interesting as a draft of the final product we all know.

This version, take 20, is the extended jam John used as source material for 'Revolution 9' sound collage, also included on the White Album.

And while we're on the subject, here is an alternate mix of 'Revolution 9'. Much more of a head-trip than the White Album version, lots more voices thrown into the mix.
