I don't know a lot about emerald swifts, so you should check my answers. According to the ASPCA Poison Control Website, African Violets are nontoxic to cats, dogs and horses, but Jade Plants are toxic. There are different varieties of ferns, many toxic, some non-toxic. They don't have a listing for reptiles that I can see. Your best bet is to contact the ASPCA poison control folks and give them these questions and see what they come up with.
Good luck!

I have an emerald swift, I would like to place live plants in his tank, what can you recommend?
I have bark substrate, and full spectrum lighting as well as a heat source above the tank. The top is screen for breathing. I have heard that plants like african violets and jade plants are great in vivariums, but I wonder if any are poisonous to lizards... what about a spider plant or a common type of fern that can be found in the local florist? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'd like this little guy to live the happiest life I can give him! :o}
