Remove fuzz from new towels?

I recently purchased some new bathroom towels which seem to leave fuzz everywhere they touch. Since purchasing them I have washed them a couple of times but the problem continues. These were not cheap towels so I imagine there is a way to get rid of this extra fuzz... anyone have any ideas on what might be able to be done to help? Something I can add to the washer/dryer when I clean them? Something I can treat them with?

I have been thru this and the only thing I know is to wash them a dozen times. Hanging them out to dry seems to help but washing them is the only way I know. I read somewhere that towels have a dual lint thing when they are new and when they are worn out. It has something to do with the way the fibers are in them. This may sound crazy but I also know that if you iron them it helps. It has something to do to with the heat shrinks and tightens the loose fibers up. Hope this helps.

PS; Ironed towels are scratchy.

put them in the dryer even when they're dry, on a no-heat cycle, with an old t-shirt that you've wet & wrung out. This will help pull off the lint. You can also try to put in something with some mass, to beat them up a bit. Keep cleaning the lint trap, too, because when it's full of lint, it can't collect the new lint.

They will leave the towel after many washes...just have to be a little patient...wash them several times and dry them well too.
