REMINDER: There are TWO final cashout deadlines coming up, July 8th AND July 31. The July 31 deadline will maximize your revshare cashout!

I've seen some talk about people wanting to cashout immediately b/c of the approaching cashout deadline, but it's important to remember there are TWO deadlines approaching - July 8th (to be paid July 22nd) and July 31 (to be paid August 22).

EVERYONE SHOULD ALSO REMEMBER THAT PENDING REVSHARE TRANSFERS TO YOUR BALANCE ON JULY 15, so if you cashout before July 15, and your pending revshare transfers over on July 15 and it's not at least M$150 you CANNOT cash it out. So, one might consider cashing out closer to the final deadline if they want to maximize their cashout re: pending revshare.

Thanks for clarifying this, @coreymac. It sounds like it makes sense to cash out all but M$150 by July 3, to avoid any unpleasant surprises in case the July 15 transfer is less than expected..

We can cash out Mahalo Dollars? ... oh wait, I see, that is what the Mahalo Dollars are for. I was playing Mahalo Answers like they were game chips and the one who bought the craziest hat, monocle, and cane combination with their _own_ real money and then wore it while earning these Mahalo Dollars on Mahalo Answers was the winner. Drat, I guess I do not need to be wearing this Monopoly guy get up any longer.

I know.. no GO, no 200, and straight to jail.. visit me please?

I'm moving into the Mahalo condo later this week .. we are filming a "Big Brother" type reality show and the Mahalo Store will be the central theme of the show. You know .. giving Starbucks gift cards to each other .. saving for iPads and Sonos.. and of course the Mahalo Beach Towel parking lot parties .. they should be the highlight of the season.

How many people will lose their Mahalo dollars, because they are under M$150.00? Thats seems to be a claw back by Mahalo of money that these people have earned but now will lose. I wonder how much that adds up to?

@island_druid technically not one single person will lose a single Mahalo dollar. Every last Mahalo cent will remain in the account of each and every user. Mahalo is not taking away Mahalo dollars they are just limiting the way value can be extracted from them.

Oh, no, he di'int! Jason Calcanis didn't just crack on Mahalo Dollars hours before the implementation of changes that I've said all along come down to one key thing: business is business. (And that if one hasn't sat behind the desk, one might not understand how and why some decisions that make people unhappy have to be made. People don't realize that everyone can't have it their way, and decisions are made usually not by one person and they are ultimately made for the goal of making the organization as a whole more prosperous.)

Now that I've finished my Small Business 101 Seminar...

Please correct me if the analogy I've previously made is inaccurate. I think it's a pretty good explanation of how the changes will affect M$ for those of us who do Q&A and only Q&A: think of Mahalo.com as a country whose exchange rate--unchanging--is M$1 = USD$0.75. And on August 1, Mahalo Dollars will only be spendable, besides for asking questions and tipping, in a whole new country with a bright future: Mahalo Store, where they are currently and will continue to be accepted, but where their value is weaker--M$1=USD$0.568 by my calculation, per the gift cards at M$44 = USD$25) PS you should get Best Buy to co-brand those things. Great advertising.

The only exceptions are the M$1 to USD$1 items--think of them as items in a territory where the exchange rate of The Mahalo Dollar is far better--almost double at 1:1 (if those items stay that way). Otherwise, the value of the $M in Mahalo Store will not change.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah but WHY ?

Seeing the announcement was made IN the month of june, are we not getting paid for that month ? Hardly seems fair to anyone.

As I understand it, normally the revshare from June 1-15 would transfer into our balance to cash out on July 1, and the revshare from June 16-30 would transfer on July 15. Are you saying that , to end the program, the entire revshare from June 1-30 will transfer on July 15? So no pending revshare transferred into our account on July 1? So if we request a payout on July 16, we will get the maximum cash out possible?

I ask this in part because I did not see any revshare transfer on July 1. Thanks for the clarification.

A couple of days ago I had approx M$188 in my balance and approx M$200 in pending adsense revenue, plus a lot smaller amount in pending Q&A revenue..

None of that pending revenue has been paid into my balance yet, it is still exactly where it was, circa M$188.

Since we're supposed to request payment by July 3rd, when can we expect to see the balance updated?

Btw, since page management has gone, there is no way to see the page rev pending number any more.

Thanks for your help.

Hiya Corey, could you please help me? I requested payout on 7th June, and previously had made sure my W8 was all good and everything, and I still haven't received that payment. Thanks

Just to clarify, we can cash out on July 3rd AND July 31st even though they are in the same month, as long as the balance is over $150 each time?

Again how many people will lose what they have earned because they don't have $150.

Correct! Request cash out *by* July 3rd (paid on July 22) and *by* July 31 (paid on Aug 22)

We're adding the extra days to accomodate the large volume of requests we're anticipating. Each request goes through an extensive fraud check, and we'll be needing the extra days to make sure every request is honest and legit. Rock on!
