If Jon Gosselin was concerned for the well-being of his children in regards to them being filmed, that is something he should have come to terms with (and dealt with) weeks, months or years ago -- not after he was cut from the show. It just seems odd that all of a sudden he has this revelation. It almost seems as though he is looking out for his best interest.
I do not really believe that this idea of ceasing production of the show for the sake of the family is something that Jon thought of weeks ago. I think it is a sudden decision based on Jon feeling threatened that he will no longer benefit from the show in some way. I think his plan of halting the show so that him and Kate could focus on their current relationship and future of the family is something that should have been handled upon filing for divorce.
There are so many conflicting sides to the story between Jon, TLC, Kate and the truth -- perhaps it would be good for them to stop the show anyways before it turns into a bigger mess than it already is. I don't think many people will continue to watch anyways.
