Reading online/on a screen vs. reading a tangible book.
I've just signed up to StumbleUpon again since I haven't used it for a while and came across this site which offers free downloads on classical literature. I've always maintained that I much prefer to hold a real book as I read it than to read one on a computer screen but I find it hard to give any substantial reasons as to why, so I put it to you: do you have a preference between the two methods and if so, why do you feel this way?

I really prefer having the book in my hands, rather than reading it on screen. I love books, and reading, and love passing on favourite books to my friends! I also like having books on my bookshelf, so I can go back over them, and pick ones out for members of my family or friends to read. It's also nice to have someone comment or ask about the book if they see you holding it, as if you are reading on a device, people tend not to talk to you about the story or book etc. And it's so great when you receive a lovely new shiney book as a gift!

I couldn't have put it better myself! So many reasons and I agree with all of them entirely :)

This is also why I prefer to own my books rather than borrowing them from a library :)
