Do you think Michael Jackson killed himself?

Some outlets are saying he overdosed on prescription pills, others are outright saying he wanted to die. What do you think?

Not likely.

The LA Fire Department said they responded to an emergency call that came after he had been rehearsing. He had an upcoming tour of 50 sold out concerts in London, starting July 13th.

I suppose people close to Michael Jackson might've not told the whole story to the emergency services, and the Fire Deparment might choose not to voice any questions. But on the whole the most probably explanation seems to be that he wasn't in great shape and was under a lot stress, leading to a heart attack.

EDIT: This obituary repeats that rehearsals were underway at the time he suffered cardiac arrest.

MJ only wanted to do 10 concerts, he wasnt looking forward to do 50 performances and doubted wether he could even do that many. He backed into that position due to his label and concert organizers, I think this is a crucial point.

There is very little info out there but my gut says no to a suicide. But he probably inadvertantly killed himself by his by his actions both past and present.

I haven't seen any speculation about suicide, but there is some discussion of stress being a factor in sudden cardiac arrest-- and that he had been under a fair amount of stress recently.

Medical issues, pill addiction, stress, his whole life, crazy, all of that could have just taken a toll on him, he could have just died from it all or it all could have just been way to much for him. We will find out on the news soon enough. ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND WERE WATCHING TV WHEN OUR TV SHOWS WERE CUT OFF FOR THE NEWS TO REPORT THIS.....EVEN THOUGHT IT WAS ON LIKE EVERY CHANNEL

Absolutely not! Michael Jackson loved life, loved people, and loved himself way too much to do such a thing. He hurt himself while he was alive, as if someone smoked too much, he had way too many surgeries. He probably wore himself down.

Michael Jackson's Death tells it best.

I know Michael Jackson's old publicist, Michael Levine, and I think he says it best.

"I must confess I am not surprised by today's tragic news. Michael has been on an impossibly difficult and often self-destructive journey for years. His talent was unquestionable but so too was his discomfort with the norms of the world. A human simply cannot withstand this level of prolonged stress." - Michael Levine, a publicist who represented Jackson when the singer was accused of molesting a child in 1993.

Michael Jackson was slowly killing himself by the way he had lived his life. His addiction to pain killers was a large source of his problems.

The pressure of being in the spotlight from a young age and then constantly pushing himself to be better all the time had taken their toll. Once you are on the top, it is hard to stomach the path down. The allegations of his child molestation also took a large toll on his health and he may have medicated himself to handle all the bad publicity.

Also, his constant dissatisfaction on his personal appearance and his numerous surgeries and people's reactions to his surgeries could only bring his spirit down even further.

He died of cardiac arrest. I personally believe all the pressures of being Michael Jackson caused this heart to give out.

I think the man was physically ill and prematurely aged, and that he died of natural causes.

Questions are centering on the pain medications.
Michael Jackson was taking prescription medications.
Quote
Chopra said he had known Jackson to take the opium-derived painkiller OxyContin at one time

Lisa Marie Presley implies that suicide can not be ruled out

Quote
Jackson talked with her about his death during "a deep conversation" 14 years ago about "the circumstances of my father's death," she wrote, referring to Elvis Presley.

Yes, I think that Michael Jackson was not a very happy person. I feel that the public and other are responsible for that. They only saw the negative things that Michael Jackson did, but did not really take time to see the wonderful contributions that he had made in society. His music and dance moves will be remembered. I think he could not live with what people and media accused him of...So I think he took his own life. I think he felt there was no reason or purpose left in life...which I think is sad it takes something like his death for people to be realize that he was.." The King of Pop"
